IPv6 Addresses
This page enables adding or modifying IPv6 Global addresses. IPv6 Link Local addresses
are created automatically when enabling IPv6 admin mode on an VLAN interface and cannot
be removed or edited.

To configure an IPv6 address for an IPv6 Interface:
1.
Select Routing
> IPv6 > Advanced > IPv6 Addresses.
2.
In the IPv6 Interface Selection section, select a VLAN interface (to be assigned the IPv6
address).
3.
In the IPv6 Interface Configuration section, configure the following:
•
IPv6 Prefix/Prefix Length. Select an existing IPv6 prefix and prefix length from the
list, or add a new IPv6 prefix and prefix length to the list of IPv6 addresses. The
address is in the global address format.

EUI64. Specify whether the IPv6 address is in EUI-64 format. The default value is
Disable.

Click Add to add a new IPv6 address, or click Delete to delete a selected IPv6 address
from the list of IPv6 addresses.

Click Apply to apply the changes to the system.

Prefix Configuration
To add an IPv6 prefix that will be advertised on an IPv6 enabled interface:
1.
Click Routing
> IPv6 > Advanced > Prefix Configuration.
2.
From the Interface list, select the interface to be configured. When the selection is changed,
a screen update occurs, causing all fields to be updated for the newly selected port. All
physical interfaces are valid.

Specifies IPv6 operational state of an interface. The possible values are
Enable or Disable.

Indicates the operational state of the specified VLAN interface. Possible
values: Link up or Link down.

The state of the IPv6 address. The state is Tent if routing is disabled or
DAD fails. The state is Active if the interface is active and DAD is
successful. The state is Preferred if the IPv6 address has been verified to
be unique on the link and is therefore is active.
