Starting in Cisco IOS Release 12.2(28)SB, a 7300-CC-PA ROMmon upgrade procedure was 
introduced. If 7300-CC-PA ROMmon is incompatible, the 7300-CC-PA will not operate until the 
7300-CC-PA ROMmon incompatability is addressed.

The 7300-CC-PA has a main processor and fixed memory. Interfaces located on port adapters that fit into 
the 7300-CC-PA connect the router to the external network. Each 7300-CC-PA accepts one single-width 
port adapter.

Although the 7300-CC-PA supports OIR, individual port adapters do not. For this reason, remove the 
7300-CC-PA first before removing or installing port adapters.
