The Cisco® UCS B460 M4 E7 v4 High-Performance Blade Server (
) is a four-socket, full-width 
double-high blade server supporting the Intel® Xeon® E7-4800 v4 and E7-8800 v4 series processor family 
CPUs, with up to 6 terabytes (TB) of double-data-rate 4 (DDR4) memory in 96 slots, up to 4 7 mm high small 
form factor (SFF), hot-swappable

 drive bays for solid state drives (SSDs), four dual-port and two quad-port 
mezzanine card connections for up to 320 Gbps aggregate I/O bandwidth. The Cisco UCS B460 M4 E7 v4 
server is designed to power the most demanding enterprise applications.
As shown in 
, the B460 M4 E7 v4 server consists of two Scalable M4 Blade Modules and a Scalability 
Connector that cross-connects the two Blade Modules and allows them to function as a single server. The 
Blade Module on the bottom is the “Master” and the Blade Module on the top is the “Slave.”
The server is controlled with UCS Manager (UCSM) version 2.2(8).
