5 Is the Alarm Manager server running?

Installing the Alarm Manager Server Software
Follow these instructions to install the Alarm Manager server software on the Solaris
Alarm Manager server.
Important: You do not have to uninstall any existing versions of Alarm Manager

1 Log in to the Alarm Manager server as root user.
2 Open an xterm window on the Alarm Manager server.

Note: Since you are logged in to the server as root user, you will have root
permissions in the xterm window.
3 Insert the Alarm Manager CD into the CD-ROM drive of the Alarm Manager
server. The system automatically mounts the CD.

4 Type df -n and then press Enter. A list of the mounted filesystems appears.
Note: The presence of /cdrom in the output confirms that the system correctly
mounted the CD.
5 Type cd /cdrom/cdrom0 and then press Enter. The /cdrom/cdrom0 directory
becomes the working directory.
