As mentioned previously, if Cisco TelePresence Manager or Cisco TelePresence Management Suite is not
deployed, you also can initiate discovery using Cisco Unified Communications Manager or Cisco TelePresence
VCS as seed devices. When the discovery is running, you can check its status by going to the Discovery Jobs tab
in the Device Work Center. The first job is always the latest job. The bottom pane of the page shows details of the
job that are selected in the top pane of the page.
What About Network Devices?
The only things you need to configure are the valid credential profiles for routers and switches. Cisco Prime
Collaboration takes care of the rest. Networking devices are discovered in real time when a troubleshooting
session is initiated from session monitoring of a video call. For the Cisco TelePresence Server endpoints, only
during discovery, the first-hop switch and router for every endpoint will be discovered. All the other devices in the
path are learned automatically, and information is fetched on an impromptu basis. The device is then added to the
inventory automatically at that point. If for some reason you need to manually add a device for troubleshooting
purposes, you can add routers or switches in the Operate > Device Work Center > Discovery Devices page.
You can choose None as the option for Discovery methods and then click Run Now
Unified Contact Center Enterprise Management
Introduction to UCCE Management in Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance
UCCE Management has been added in Cisco Prime Collaboration 10.5 Assurance Release. The main features
added to monitor UCCE deployments are:
1.  Contact Center Topology
The Contact Center topology is created automatically in Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance once the UCCE
devices are discovered. It allows you to see all the Contact Center devices as Side A, which would be the primary
data center, and Side B, which would be the secondary data center connected through the private and public
clouds. The topology view shows you the devices and the relationship between all these devices. It also displays
key counters against each device. If there are any alarms on the devices that is indicated as well in the topology
against the device with an icon. You can select any device in the topology and open the device 360 view for that
device. Here you can see all the information for the device in one single view as in Figure 27.
