SNMP/HTTP NETWORK MANAGEMENT CARD
The management card by EVER is optional and can be installed by the user. It is a device that is used to integrate the
UPS with the Ethernet-type computer network. The network card is located in a special slot on the back wall of the
UPS. The network card enables the user to manage the UPS from any computer in the network. This solutionis most
often used for central power supply, orif thereisa need to manage the power supply system remotely.
The management card has the following services implemented:
- SNMP agent enables power supply management with the software progamme called SNMP manager.
- HTTP server enables the UPS parameters to be displayed and modified by using a WWW browser

EPO
MANUAL BYPASS
EPO (Emergency Power Off) is a mechanism that cuts off the energy supply to the receivers at the UPS output in
extreme cases (e.g. a fire). The UPS then switches to EMERGENCY mode.
The mechanism can be activated in two ways:
- by breaking the contacts of the external EPO joint (release).
- forced from the user interface level (CONTROL 1/4 EmergencyOff).

The mechanism can be activated in two ways:
- by breaking the contacts of the external EPO joint (release).
- forced from the user interface level (CONTROL 1/4 EmergencyOff).
Reactivation of the output voltage takes place only when the user deletes the failure flag indication (CONTROL 3/4
Delete Emergency) and sets the release to inactive (standard release status) in the case of an external release. It is
possible to temporarily lock the EPO function for the duration of the EPO release installation. Then, the person
performing the installation may take out the EPO connector without the risk of disconnecting the supply for receivers.
The operation may continue for a maximum of one minute from the setting of the control flag (CONTROL 2/4, EPO Off
Time). After that time, the lock is automatically off.

The UPS is fitted with a manual switch for the BYPASS line, which enables automatic BYPASS line
switching to the output terminals of the UPS bypassing the UPS sections.

RS 232 AND USB COMMUNICATION
Superline UPS are provided with extended management options. POWERLINE UPS are fitted with an Rs232
communication port and PowerSoft Personal software, which are provided together with the UPS. It should be
remembered that only one port may be used at a time and, to ensure communication, it is necessary to connect the
UPS port to a free computer port with a connector provided. If the user would like to use an RS232 standard for
communication, the RS232 cable should be connected to the appropriate ports prior to starting the computer and
UPS. Then, the UPS and computer should be connected and the software should be installed as per the enclosed
manual and the installation application's instruction. If the USB port and connector is to be used for communication,
prior to connecting the cable, the software should be installed as per the enclosed manual and by following the
installation application's instructions.
