Macro Key Programming
How to use a Macro Key (Speedkey)
The A, B, C, or D key can be used to activate a series of commands of
up to 16 keystrokes. These keystrokes, as a group, are called macros
and are stored in the system's memory.
Typical Speedkey functions include:

Arming sequences that first involve bypassing certain zones before
arming

Seldom used but repeatable sequences

Relay activation sequences.
What to include in a Macro program:
Over time you will realize that at certain times of the day you arm or
disarm your security system in certain ways. For example, each night
before going to bed, you turn off certain lights and arm the security
system, leaving specific interior areas bypassed so that normal
movement at night will not set off an alarm.
You could, therefore, have your installer program your "B" key to:
1.

Turn off those certain lights and
2.

Arm your security system in the NIGHT-STAY mode
Every night, all you would have to do is press your "B" key on the
keypad, wait for the ENTER USER CODE prompt, and enter your 4-
digit security code.
