When this parameter is enabled, the scanner issues a beep when a <BEL> character is detected on the
serial data line. <BEL> is used to gain a user's attention to indicate an illegal entry or other important
event. If this parameter is enabled and the system is in battery mode, a 100 ms delay is placed at the
end of the decode transmission.
