Managing Remote Access Concentrators Using Annex Manager
Appendix A RAC Parameters
A-16
CallDef_erase_word
uses a control character sequence to define the CLI word erase character.
CallDef_forward_key
defines the character sequence that opens the next higher-numbered session
established through a call. Bay Networks recommends that you use a sequence
established through a call. Bay Networks recommends that you use a sequence
with
+ a character. The key displays as ^. If you use more than one letter
or number, Annex Manager separates characters with a slash (/). For example,
+
a
+
b
, displays as
^a/b
.
CallDef_forwarding_
count
count
controls ISDN Primary Rate RAC behavior for received characters. If you enter
a number other than
a number other than
0
, the RAC does not forward characters until it receives the
number of characters you entered. If you enter
0
, the RAC uses values in
CallDef_forwarding_timer
. If you use
CallDef_forwarding_count
and
CallDef_forwarding_timer
parameters, the RAC uses the value that occurs first.
Setting
CallDef_forwarding_count
to
1
or
CallDef_forwarding_timer
to
0
can
have a severe effect on the network when heavy serial input occurs.
