Spectra T120 Library Firmware
130
Resolved Issues
ƒ The encryption feature in Symantec NetBackup 6.5.2 no longer interferes with the
encryption settings of the library when using LTO-4 tape drives.
Make sure that you perform the updates in this order to avoid issues:
ƒ The library now correctly returns Sense Code 6,28,0 when the door is opened.
ƒ The library type is now correctly identified during a firmware update.
ƒ Drives no longer disappear unexpectedly after you enable Drive Performance
Monitoring.
ƒ A library with LTO-4 tape drives now returns the correct Sense Code information
when moving a tape with broken leader.
ƒ Robotic motion diagnostic tests now operate correctly.
ƒ Sending three or more abort commands to the robot (SCSI Medium changer) in a
QIP-based partition no longer causes the QIP to mark the transporter as failed.
ƒ When using two or more LTO-3 or LTO-4 drives in the library, selecting Metrics
from the General toolbar now displays the Metrics screen when you are connected
to the library using the RLC with Drive Performance Monitoring and SSL enabled.
ƒ When creating a direct-attach SCSI partition, the default SCSI ID displayed for each
drive is 0 if it has never been set, or if it has been set, default to its last known
value.
ƒ It is no longer necessary to run the Enable USB utility to enable using a USB key
before flushing motion traces or copy logfile to the USB keys.
ƒ An issue specific to BlueScale10.2.0-20080512F that could potentially lead to a loss
of library configuration has been resolved.
1. Update the library to BlueScale 10.4.
2. Upgrade the LTO-4 tape drive firmware to v8940.
3. Update to NetBackup 6.5.2.
