Spectra T120 Library Firmware
Library Firmware Support Process
The support model for Spectra Logic firmware is implemented as follows:
ƒ Current Shipping Release – Any issues found in the current release of firmware
are resolved either with a patch or a new release, depending on the types of
changes needed. The current release is completely supported.
ƒ One Release Prior to the Current Release – Support strongly recommends that
customers using the previous release of firmware upgrade to the current release. If
the customer is unwilling or unable to do this, Spectra Logic provides patches to
the previous release.
ƒ Two Releases Prior to the Current Release – Customers are asked to upgrade to
the current release. There must be an extremely compelling reason to avoid
upgrading. Patches to firmware that is two releases prior to the current release are
extremely rare.
Library Firmware Update Process
See the Spectra T120 Library User Guide for information about updating the library
firmware. Check the Spectra Logic web site at
 for the
most current version of the library firmware.
Firmware Package History
The following pages list changes in Spectra T120 library firmware packages for new
features and updates that affect the library and its components.
Note:
Unless otherwise stated, the known issues remain active until moved to
the resolved issues section. Always read the known issues section for each
firmware release to make sure you are aware of any potential problems.
Firmware Package Order and Naming
This document lists releases in a reverse chronological order, with the most recent
release listed first. Firmware packages created in 2005 are called BlueScale, and are
released with a package number starting at 9.0 and progressing higher from there.
All package names are followed with the date of release (YYYYMMDD format), and
either an F for Full Release or an I for Incremental Release.
