Resolved Issues
The General Status screen now displays properly for library users with operator
privileges.
BlueScale10.0.3-20070830F
To take advantage of LTO-4 SCSI QIP-attached drives and the new power metrics
features, download the latest library firmware from the Spectra Logic Web site.
Enhancements
ƒ LTO-4 SCSI Support – The library now supports LTO-4 SCSI drives when used
with a Quad Interface Processor (QIP). With this release of the current drive
firmware, the SCSI negotiation speed of the drive is forced to u160.
ƒ Power Usage and Storage Density Metrics – The library’s LC/RLC now displays
the power usage and storage density information for the library in a more
accessible form.
Resolved Issues
ƒ Encryption with compression in fixed mode now reads/writes correctly.
ƒ Cleartext is now enabled properly at the beginning of tape, so that BlueScale
Encryption correctly verifies that all the data is encrypted and none is in cleartext.
ƒ The LCM now responds if you try to edit or delete a partition that is configured for
encryption.
Known Issues
ƒ The drive firmware currently does not support u320 negotiation speeds; as soon as
such firmware is available, it will be provided, allowing the faster negotiation
speeds.
ƒ We do not recommend attaching more than one LTO-4 direct-attach drive per SCSI
bus.
ƒ If you intend to use daisy-chained LTO SCSI drives, the cable between the drives
should be at least 10 feet.
