Chapter 13.  Library Troubleshooting
135
Robotics Troubleshooting
If the library halts and an alert indicates that robotics are blocked, follow these steps.
1. Look through the library’s side panel to check for obvious blockages; if you see
any, proceed directly to Step 4. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
2. Re-issue the move that failed.
3. Watch the robotics as they attempt the move; this shows you where the robotics
are blocked.
4. Press and hold the library’s soft power button (shown on page 31) for two to
three seconds, or until the blue light blinks or otherwise changes state. The
power-down sequence takes approximately five minutes.
5. Once the library has powered down, remove the library’s right side panel.

higher up.
iii. Lift the panel outward (Figure 13-14) and set it aside.
6. Reach into the library and remove the blockage.
Note: If you remove a TeraPack container or RXT media pack or any
media, use your software to run an inventory of the library after
restarting it.
7. Replace the library’s side panel and secure it with the screw.
8. Press the soft power button to power on the library again.
9. After the library initializes, try again to complete the move that failed.
If the problem persists, contact Spectra Logic Technical Support.
