Controls and Functions
Front View
POWER/TIMER REC button
Press to turn the VCR on or off.
If you have programmed your VCR to record, press to
turn off the VCR and press again to stand by for the
timer recording.
EJECT button
Press to remove the cassette.
Cassette Loading Slot
Cassette is inserted in this slot for loading.
JOG dial
Use to forward/reverse a tape frame-by-frame (field-
by-field) or to set the menus.
SHUTTLE ring
When the VCR is in stop mode, turn to the right to
forward a tape or to the left to rewind.
Also, use for special effects playback or to set the
menus.
POSITION buttons
• When the day and present time display is shown on
screen, press to move it right forward or bottom
forward.  During an alarm recording or if a warning
display is shown on screen, the day and present
time display cannot be moved.
TRACKING buttons
• If noise occurs on screen during playback, frame
advance or slow-motion playback, press to adjust
the tracking.
VERTICAL ADJUST buttons
• If screen images are blurred vertically during a still
picture, press to reduce/eliminate the picture
vibration.

COUNTER RESET button
Press to reset the counter to “00000”.
MODE button
Press to select the recording or playback speed.

SEARCH button
Press to display the <SEARCH FUNCTION> menu.
During recording or when the VCR is turned off, press
this button for more than 10 seconds to lock/unlock all
buttons.
MENU/PAUSE button
When the VCR is in stop mode, press to display the
<MAIN MENU>.
When pressed during recording or playback, tape
movement stops temporarily.  Press again to continue
the recording or playback.
PLAY/STOP button
Press to playback a previously recorded tape or to
discontinue all tape-related functions.
REC button
Press to begin recording.
