Figure 1-23  5 Key Keypad
The HX3 keypad is designed for use with voice applications.  The keypad has five keys which are
designed to be easily identified by color or shape and contour.
The Power key is red.  It is located below the LEDs.  The Power key is used to turn the HX3 on,
place the HX3 in suspend or wake the HX3 from Suspend.
Note:
Placing the HX3 in suspend terminates the ActiveSync connection, if one is established.
The ActiveSync connection must be re-established after the HX3 exits suspend.
The white key is diagonally oriented and has a recessed center.  The default value for the white
key is Up Arrow.
The green key is diagonally oriented and has a raised center.  The default value for the green key
is Down Arrow.
The Blue Modifier key is blue and is horizontally oriented.
The yellow key is vertically oriented.  The default value for the yellow key is Enter.
The Blue Modifier key can be used in sequence with the other keys.  For example, the default
keypresses are:
•  Blue Modifier plus White key = Volume Up
•  Blue Modifier plus Green key = Volume Down
•  Blue Modifier plus Yellow key = Diamond (programmable) key.
The System Administrator may setup Configurable Keys before releasing the HX3 for daily use.
The Diamond key (Blue+Enter). Maximum length is 7 characters.
Configurable keys are set using the Keypad control panel applet. See Chapter 3 System
Configuration
 for instruction.
See Appendix A - Key Maps for instruction on the specific keypresses to access all allowed keypad
functions.
