Removing a fan tray
Each fan tray has a bundle of cables attached to it. The cables are terminated
by two three-hole plugs. When you replace a fan tray, you must attach the fan
plugs to the correct connectors on the system board. (However, either plug can
go onto either of the connectors.)

Remove the cables from the plastic hooks that secure them to the chassis base
