other copier UI messages.

No real obvious fault to user
except on Web UI or PWS
Tool

Placed screwdriver in chassis
to prevent stapler from moving
to Front Straight Sensor, then
sent print job.

UI displayed a fault condition
briefly before printing (I did
not see the fault display, but
I did hear the fault beeps.)
Job printed and was
delivered to center tray.
After the job printed the
machine returned to ready to
copy. The fault code was
displayed on the web UI and
on the PWS. After po/po,
with fault condition still in
place, the web UI and the
PWS both displayed a 012-
245 fault.

Stapler Front
Straight
Sensor Fail

Sent print job, then placed
screwdriver in chassis to
prevent stapler from moving to
Front Straight Sensor during
print job.

When stapler was prevented
from moving during a job the
print job halted, Paper jam
messages appeared. When
the paper jams were cleared
the UI displayed a message
– “Network Print job is
formatting. To make copies,
press Interrupt. Connecting
to Network Controller.
Printer or Scanner is not
ready. Please wait.” The UI
appeared to be locked up
and pressing interrupt did
not put machine in copy
mode. Both the web UI and
PWS displayed the correct
fault.
