I attempted to cause the failure
by causing the belt that drives
the stapler head to come off as
the staple head was moving
from the Front Straight Sensor
to the Rear Straight Sensor on
a dual staple job.

I was successful at
preventing the Stapler form
reaching the Rear Straight
Sensor as indicated by the
fact that the print job only
had one staple in it, but the
012-249 fault code did not
show up on the web UI or on
the PWS. I did however get
the following fault codes on
the web UI: 012-246, 010-
900, 012-248, 001-300,
several 008-306, and 012-
245. The IOT UI seemed to
be locked up with the
following message: “Network
Print job is formatting. To
make copies, press
Interrupt. Connecting to
Network Controller. Printer
or Scanner is not ready.
Please wait.” Mick was able
to generate this fault code.
