7.2.7 Booklet feature
You can make copies, and then fold them in half to create
booklets. The documents will be reduced to fit the
recording paper.
Note:
R A4, letter, legal, 216 
´ 330 or 216 ´ 340 size recording
paper (plain and thin) can be used for this feature.

binding direction from “LEFT BIND” or “RIGHT

– “1”: To make a booklet with every 4 documents
printed as separate blocks.
– “ALL”: To make a booklet with all documents
printed as 1 block.

R Multiple copies will be collated automatically.

When using the scanner glass:
1.

R The unit will scan 1 page.
2. Place the next page on the scanner glass and
press MOKN. Repeat this until you have scanned
all pages.
3. If “1” is selected in step 5, the unit will start
copying.
R You can press MxN anytime to start copying.
R For multiple copies, press MxN to start
copying.
If “ALL” is selected in step 5, press MxN to start
copying.
When using the automatic document feeder (y):

Note:
R The unit may store the documents into memory at a
reduced resolution if “ALL” is selected in step 5 or
more than 1 copy is set to be collated in step 7. When
the memory becomes full while storing, if “1” is
selected in step 5, the unit will print out only the stored
pages. If “ALL” is selected in step 5, the unit will
cancel the printing.
R You can save the previous page layout setting
7.2.8 Edge feature
You can set the unit not to copy the outer edges of the
document without reducing the copied documents to fit
the recording paper. This is useful for copying
documents with dirty edges.
Note:
R This feature cannot be used when your original
document size or the recording paper size is set to
A6.
R This feature and page layout features cannot be used
at the same time (except for N in 1).

You can set the unit not to copy a particular edge of the
document to make a margin. This is useful for binding
the copied documents.

R To automatically reduce the copies according to the
