Faxing to a Group
Once you have programmed some One Touch
keys or Auto Dial numbers, you can use these
programmed locations to create groups. You can
then easily send the same fax to multiple locations.
This is useful if, for example, you need to send
weekly status updates to all the members of a team
working in separate locations.
• You can program up to ten groups (see
“Programming Groups” under Dial Directo-
ries).
• Each group can have up to 110 numbers.
Sending a Fax to a Group
To send a group fax, do the following:
Load your document.
Press the AUTO DIAL key. The display shows
AUTO DIAL NO.
Press the # key. The display shows GROUP
SETTING.
Press the number of the group you want to
send to on your numeric keypad.
Press START. The display shows ENTRY IS
OK?.
Press START.
To see a list of the groups and the locations within
each group, print a Telephone Directory. To do this:
Press SELECT FUNCTION.
Press the 6/REPORT PRINT One-Touch key.
Press 
NO
 repeatedly until PHONE DIREC-
TORY appears.
Press 
YES
.
Receiving Faxes Manually
As long as your machine is not set to the manual
receive [TEL] mode, your machine automatically
receives faxes. If your machine is set to the manual
receive [TEL] mode, follow the instructions below.
When the machine rings, press the HOOK/V.
REQUEST key.
Press the START key. MANUAL START
appears on the display.
After you receive the fax, a long beep tells you
that the transmission was successful.
If you have the optional handset installed:
When your telephone or facsimile machine
rings, pick up the telephone handset. If a
person is on the line, carry on your conversa-
tion.
If a remote fax machine is on the line, or if a
person wishes to fax you a document after a
conversation, press the START key.
When MANUAL START appears on the dis-
play, hang up the handset.
After you receive the fax, a long beep tells you
that the transmission was successful.
