Run the setup_UniPack Script on the DNCS
Running the setup_UniPack Script on the DNCS
The setup_UniPack script creates several system files so that you can later use the
UniPack to upgrade to SR 2.5 and SR 3.5. Follow these instructions to run the
setup_UniPack script on the DNCS.

The CD labeled DBDS Maintenance CD should still be in the CD drive of the
DNCS.

You should still be logged in as root user to an xterm window on the DNCS.

Type /cdrom/cdrom0/s3/sai/scripts/Media/setup_UniPack and then press
Enter.
Result: The system displays the following message:

-- create a sysidcfg file so that you can boot off the UniPack.

-- create a file system info file that can be used for file system backups
-- setup the eeprom so that you can boot off the devalias “unipack”.

Type y and then press Enter.

The system creates the system files and sets up the eeprom.

The system displays a Finished setting up the machine for UniPack install
message when it is complete.

Type exit and then press Enter to log out the root user.

Choose one of the following options:

If you are upgrading an Enterprise 450 or a Sun Fire V880 DNCS to SR 2.5
or SR 3.5, go to Chapter 2, SR 2.5 and SR 3.5 Upgrade Procedures for the
Enterprise 450 and Sun Fire V880 DNCS.

If you are upgrading an Enterprise 250 DNCS to SR 2.5 or SR 3.5, go to
Chapter 3, SR 2.5 and SR 3.5 Upgrade Procedures for the Enterprise 250
DNCS.
