Run the cleanup_UniPack Script on the DNCS
Introduction
The UniPack may contain backup and log files from the previous upgrade.Cisco
recommends that before you use the UniPack to back up the current system, you
first remove any files associated with the previous upgrade. Follow the instructions
in this section to remove old files from the UniPack.
Running the cleanup_UniPack Script on the DNCS
The cleanup_UniPack script removes old system files from the UniPack so that you
can later use the UniPack to upgrade a new system to SR 2.5 and SR 3.5. Follow these
instructions to run the cleanup_UniPack script on the DNCS.
1.
If necessary, open an xterm window on the DNCS.
2.
Follow these instructions to log into the xterm window as root user.
a) Type su - and then press Enter.

b) Type the root password and then press Enter.
3.
Insert the CD labeled DBDS Maintenance CD into the CD drive of the
DNCS.

Type df -n and then press Enter.

Type /cdrom/cdrom0/s3/sai/scripts/Media/cleanup_UniPack and then press
