● IP Peer-to-Peer Installation and Setup

The “IP Peer-to-Peer” program contained on the CD-ROM is required to print through TCP/IP from a Windows

95/98-compatible computer.

Double-click on “Setup. exe” in the “IP-P2P” folder on the CD-ROM to install “IP Peer-to-Peer”. After the installer

starts up, install the program by following the instructions on the screen.

Once installation is completed, select [Start], [Program], [Ip-p2p] and then [IP-P2P] to start up the IP Peer-to-

Peer program.

IP Peer-to-Peer Setup

When the IP Peer-to-Peer program is started up, the [IP Peer-to-Peer Setup] dialogue box is dis-

played. Set the [Max. Hops], [IP Port] and [Printer Names] on this screen.

Printer Addition

When the [Printer] button in the [IP Peer-to-Peer Setup] dialogue box is clicked, the [Printer] dia-

logue box is displayed. When the required parameters have been entered and the [Add] button is

clicked, the printer that has been set is added to the list of [Available Printers]. A printer can be

deleted by selecting a printer from the list and clicking the [Delete] button.

[IP Address]

: Enter the IP address assigned to the printer.

[Name]

: Enter the printer name displayed when the printing destination port is selected in setup of

the printer driver.

[Port]

: A number that is one larger than the IP port is displayed for the port number. Do not change

this except under special circumstances.

[Description]

: A character string is entered for the purpose of explanation. This character string is

displayed after the port number when selecting the printing destination port in setup of the printer

driver.

● Printer Driver Installation

After IP peer-to-peer setup is completed, install the “Konica IP-011 nozomi” printer driver. The printer driver

installation procedure is described below.

Insert the CD-ROM containing the printer driver into the CD-ROM drive and double-click on [Setup.

exe] in the [95nozomi] folder to start up the installer.

The installer starts up. Proceed with installation by following the instructions displayed on the

screen.

Select [Local] for the printer connection format. In addition, select the printer name set with the IP

peer-to-peer program for the printer port.

In addition, the “Konica IP-011 Printer Tool” cannot be used. These printer tools are provided for

parallel connection.

Once installation is completed, although the program will then ask if Windows is to be reset imme-

diately, since it is not particularly necessary to reset Windows, select “No” and then click on the

[Finish] button.
