You can select the desired mode by pressing one of the
following buttons:

– MhN: Select this mode when using the unit as a

– MiN: Select this mode when using the unit as a copier

– MlN (y): Select this mode when using the unit as a

fax machine (page 61).

Note:
R The default operation mode is the copy mode.
R You can change the default operation mode (feature

#463 on page 78) and the timer before returning to
the default operation mode (feature #464 on
page 78) (fax supported models only). (y)

3.4 Adjusting the volume (Fax
supported models only) y

Important:
R Before adjusting the volume, set the operation

mode to fax mode. If the MlN (L) light is OFF, turn
it ON by pressing MlN (L).

Ringer volume
While the unit is idle, press MCN or MDN (R).

To turn the ringer OFF
Press MCN (R) repeatedly to display “RINGER OFF=
OK?”. A MOKN (F)
R The unit will not ring.
R To turn the ringer back ON, press MDN (R).

Monitor volume
While using the monitor, press MCN or MDN (R).
