If you cannot send a fax overseas even if the number is correct and the line is
connected, activate this feature before sending the fax.
This feature improves the reliability by reducing the transmission speed.
Calling charges may be higher than usual.
M0“OFF”: Deactivates this feature.
M1“NEXT FAX”: This setting is effective only for the next attempted fax
transmission. After transmission, the unit will return to the previous setting.
M2“ERROR” (default): When the previous fax transmission fails and you want to
re-send the document.
Note:
R This feature is not available for broadcast transmission.

To set the Error Correction Mode (ECM). This feature is available when the
sending / receiving fax machines are ECM compatible. When “ON” is selected,
fax transmission / reception will be carried out so that the errors do not occur.

Connecting tone

If you often have trouble when sending faxes, this feature allows you to hear
connecting tones: fax tone, ring back tone and busy tone. You can use these tones
to confirm the status of the other party’s machine.

R If the ring back tone continues, the other party’s machine may not be a fax
machine or may have run out of paper. Check with the other party.
R The connecting tone cannot be adjusted individually. It will be changed
according to the monitor volume (page 24).

To set the maximum fax speed. The fax speed may be lower than the selected
speed depending on your line.

Quick scan mode

To enable quick scan mode. When “ALWAYS” is selected, the unit will scan the
document and store it into memory first, then the unit will start sending the
documents.

send a fax after confirming the destination. When the displayed destination is
