A monitor that is not connected to AC power will not communicate
with the transmitter – monitor data port is disabled when not
connected to AC power – so the AlarmView System will not transmit
in case of a monitor power failure. The only exception is the Nellcor
N-395 monitor, which will continue to communicate with the
transmitter while operating on battery power.
Outlets used for the system should be on the hospital emergency
circuit so that they are energized at all times.

Transmitter Placement
1. Place transmitter on top of or beside pulse oximeter it is
being used with.
To minimize possibility of the transmitter creating interference
with the monitor, place transmitter at the rear of monitor. For best
results with N-395 monitor, place transmitter to the right rear of
monitor.
