This feature allows the Power Series PC1864 control panels (PC 1864 4.1 EUPC 1864 4.2 EUPC 1864 4.2 ADT SpainPC 1864
4.5 ADT Spain
PC 1864 4.5 EU) to be programmed remotely via GPRS using the Communicator and the DLS 5 console software
updated with the “Driver pack for the 4005 Series”. The Communicator must be properly programmed before connecting it to
the Power Series PC1864 control panel.
Programming the Alarm Communicator
To program the Communicator, see the “PC Programming” section. Using the DLS 5 Console, perform the following operations:
1. Enable the Remote Programming on the Communicator (see “GPRS > Remote Programming” section).
2. Program a valid Access Point Name (APN) on the Communicator (see GPRS section).
Make sure the jumper PST is inserted.
Connecting the Communicator to the Power Series PC1864 panel
To connect the Power Series PC1864 control panel to the Communicators you will need a PCLINK-PCLINK cable (see Figure 6)
connecting the PC-LINK connector 15 on the Communicator with the PC-LINK connector on the control panel, making sure that
you insert the connector the right way round.

Connect the PCLINK/PCLINK cable as shown in Figure 6, please note that the white wire on the PCLINK-PCLINK cable
connector must be connected to pin 4 of the PC-LINK connector on the Communicator and on the control panel.
Operations to perform on the Power Series PC1864 control panel
Perform the following checks on the Power Series PC1864 control panel:
1. Check section 382 on the control panel: option 5 must be set to ON.
2. There must be NO faults, the GREEN LED on the control panel must be ON: this shows that the control panel sees the
GS3125 Communicator as connected and working.
Operations to perform on the PC
Perform the following operations on the PC before programming remotely with the DLS 5 console software:
1. The PC must have a public IP address and a public port for incoming connections to the DLS 5 console software.
2. The firewall and the router must allow the PC to connect the public port to port 51004 of the DLS 5 console software.
3. Make sure you can access the public port of the router from another PC to see if theDLS 5 console software can be reached
from the device.
