This function is used for two purposes:

q HOLD MENU ITEM

•

Puts a menu item on HOLD status to prevent it from

being ordered.

•

Also acts like to toggle to remove the item from

HOLD status.

•

Item displays on Order Entry Screen as struck

through.

q ITEM COUNT DOWN

•

Input how many of an item is available. The system

“counts down” when the item is ordered and

displays the number available on the Order Entry

Screen with the menu item.

•

Item is automatically put on HOLD when all items

have been ordered.

•

Item displays on Order Entry screen with a box

showing how many of the item remains.
