Report Archiving
q The FDS automatically archives report files during each
system reset. They are saved in a both a static
\FDSOUT folder, and dated subfolders. The subfolder
structure is: \FDSOUT\date\periodname...time.
q The report files created and backed up during a System
Reset are as follows:
•
Front End Reports - most of the reports explained in
this chapter. They may be viewed and printed
through CBase System Manager or other utilities ca-
pable of opening ASCII text files.
•
Extended FDS Reports - in addition to the Front End
Reports outlined in this chapter, many extended re-
ports are created during System Reset. They may
be viewed and printed by CBase System Manager or
other applications capable of opening ASCII text
files. Some of these reports are:

Menu Item Sales by Category, ranked by Total
Revenue, ranked by Total Quantity and ranked
by Profit.

Voided Item Reports.
→
Version Report
→
Table Turn
→
Charge Account
→
Week-to-Day Timekeeping
→
Pay Period-to-Day Timekeeping
q DBF Files are created during the System Resets and are
saved in the \FDSOUT folder. These files can be used in
spreadsheets, report writers and other applications.
These are replaced each day. Files included are:
•
Several of the FDS Front End reports.
•
FDS Check Journal
•
HFD Files - By option, can be set up to create a
ASCII file containing each posted transaction.
•
Timekeeping information.
