WAP7205 User’s Guide

If you reset the WAP7205, you lose all of the changes you have made. The WAP7205 re-loads its default 
settings, and the password resets to 

the default Wi-Fi key for the admin user account

. You have to make 

all of your changes again.

You will lose all of your changes when you reset the WAP7205 to its factory defaults.

To reset the WAP7205,

Make sure the power LED is on.

Press the RESET button for longer than 5 seconds, the Power LED begins to blink, to set the WAP7205 back 
to its factory-default configuration.

OR

Click Maintenance > Backup/Restore and then click Reset.

If the WAP7205 restarts automatically, wait for the WAP7205 to finish restarting, and log in to the Web 
Configurator. The password is 

the default Wi-Fi key for the admin user account

.

If the WAP7205 does not restart automatically, disconnect and reconnect the WAP7205. Then, follow the 
directions above again.

I cannot access the WAP7205 or ping any computer from the WLAN.

Make sure the wireless LAN is enabled on the WAP7205.

Make sure the wireless adapter on the wireless client is working properly.

Make sure the wireless adapter installed on your computer is IEEE 802.11 compatible and supports the 
same wireless standard as the WAP7205.

Make sure your computer (with a wireless adapter installed) is within the transmission range of the 
WAP7205.

Check that both the WAP7205 and your wireless station are using the same wireless and wireless security 
settings.

Make sure traffic between the WLAN and the LAN is not blocked by the MAC Address List of the 
WAP7205. See
