To enable the active PDSN to periodically synchronize accounting counters, and to synch accounting
information between the active and standby in Session Redundancy environment, use the cdma pdsn
redundancy accounting update-periodic command in global configuration mode. To disable this
feature, use the no form of the command.

When configured, the byte and packet counts for each flow are synced from the active to the standby unit
(only if they undergo a change) at the configured periodic accounting interval (using aaa accounting
update periodic xxx). If periodic accounting is not configured, the byte and packet counts will not be
synced.
