After a 7300-CC-PA is installed, the system brings online only port adapter interfaces that match the 
current configuration and were previously configured as up; all others require that you configure them 
with the configure command.

To configure the interfaces on the port adapters installed on your 7300-CC-PA, first enable the router as 
described below. 

At the user-level EXEC prompt, enter the enable command. The EXEC prompts you for a 
privileged-level password as follows: 

Router> enable

Password:

Enter the password (the password is case sensitive). For security purposes, the password is not displayed. 

When you enter the correct password, the system displays the privileged-level system prompt (#):

Router#

This section describes how to verify the 7300-CC-PA installation by observing the7300-CC-PA LED 
states, port adapter LED states, and the information displayed on your console terminal. 

When the system has reinitialized all interfaces, the 7300-CC-PA STATUS LED should be on (green) 
and the ENABLED LED on the port adapters should go on (green), depending on your connections and 
configuration. The console screen also displays a message as the system discovers each interface during 
its reinitialization.

A Fast Ethernet interface is used in the following examples for illustrative purposes.
