Troubleshooting 
Warning
Avoid contact with the printer’s fuser rollers, which may be hot.
Make sure to observe the safety guidelines and recommendations provided in the Safety 
Notes. See Getting to Know Your Printer on page 1.
If your printer is not operating properly, make sure that the following hardware and 
software issues on page 80 have been considered.
Hardware
Is the printer plugged in?
Is the printer switched on?
Is the printer on-line?
Does the printer have proper clearance? For further information, refer to the Getting to 
Know Your Printer 
on page 1.
Is the printer operating within the specified environmental conditions (temperature 
and humidity)? For further information, refer to the Getting to Know Your Printer on 
Is the printer connected to a computer or network?
Software
Is the correct printer driver installed on the workstation?
Is your driver properly configured for the destination printer? For further information, 
refer to Printing on page 23.
