User and group profile 
parameters
User profiles
A user profile identifies the user to the system and defines the type of system 
access a user has. (For more information about user profiles and how to create 
them, see

Choices/recommendations
Identification
First name
User’s first name. Used for reporting 
and workstation display.
Last name
User’s last name. Used for reporting 
and workstation display.
User ID 
(workstation access)
User’s MeetingTime or MeetingPlace 
Web ID. Used for alphabetically 
sorting in the database and for 
scheduler identification on reports.
Use the user’s network or 
e-mail logon ID.
User password
User’s password for logging on to 
MeetingPlace from a workstation.
Set a temporary default password 
and require users to change it the first 
time they log on to MeetingTime or 
MeetingPlace Web.
Last changed
Date the user password was last 
changed.
Profile number
(voice access)
Number that identifies the user when 
connecting to MeetingPlace by 
phone.
User’s phone extension or voice-mail 
number.
Profile password
User’s MeetingPlace telephone 
password.
Set a temporary default password 
and require users to change it the first 
time they log on to MeetingPlace by 
phone.
Last changed
Date the profile password was last 
changed.
User active?
Whether this user is an active 
MeetingPlace user. Users not 
identified as active are not allowed to 
log on to their profiles
Consider activating users when they 
complete training.
Type of user
This user’s user class—system access 
level.
End user, contact, attendant, or 
system manager.
