Choose two portions of that band to measure. Try to choose two portions of the band that vary the
greatest from one another, like the previous example. Label them A and B.

Draw a line, like the yellow line in the previous example, that follows along the center of the white
band of each portion.
4.
Draw a straight line (straight across and parallel to the scan axis) that corresponds to the greatest
peak and lowest valley of each portion, according to the line you made in step 3.
5.
Draw two straight lines (band limits), exactly parallel to the scan axis (and the lines you drew in the
last step), one over and one under the two portions. The straight lines must connect or be in exactly
the same position, because you will use them as a reference for your measurements.
6.
Place a separate sheet of paper on the print.
