Changing Feature Levels in an Upgrade
If you are changing feature levels (for instance, changing from CAD Standard to CAD
Premium), you must run License Administration (LicenseAdmin.exe) after the upgrade
is completed.
Best practices recommends that any backups made before changing the feature level
should be deleted, and new backups at the new feature level be created.
For information on the features provided at each feature level, see
To change feature levels in an upgrade:
1. On the computer that hosts the CAD services, start Windows Explorer and
navigate to the C:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\bin folder.
2. Double-click LicenseAdmin.exe to start IPCC License Administration.
3. In the IPCC License Administration window, click License URL.
Your web browser is started and the secured licensing website at
http://209.46.83.138/sws/ciscoLicense/LicenseRegister.html is accessed.
4. In the Customer ID field, enter 0 (zero), and then click Continue.
You must enter the website as a new customer (triggered by entering 0 in the
customer ID field) even though you might already have a customer ID
number.
5. Enter the product information. This includes the new package (feature level)
you have purchased.
6. Continue through the licensing process (see
).
Upgrading from CAD 6.0
Follow these steps to upgrade CAD 6.0 to CAD 7.1.
1. Run the following utilities to back up CAD 6.0 data:
CDBRTool to back up configuration data and recordings (see
). Run the utility twice: once
using the /B /L arguments to back up configuration data, and once using
the /B /A to back up recordings.
BackupDB to back up the Recording & Statistics database (see
NOTE:  Supervisor work flows are not backed up.
