Internet Browser Plug-in (Add-on / Extension)

The Xerox Device Connector is a plugin (add-on / extension) that must be installed and
enabled on your internet browser to enable communication between Xerox App Gallery
Web Portal and the device.
1. Verify that the internet browser is configured to allow third-party plugins (add-ons /

extensions).

User Cannot Add a Device to an App Gallery Account (Xerox App
Gallery Web Portal)

When attempting to add a device for the first time with Xerox App Gallery Web Portal,
the browser (Internet Explorer / Chrome) displays a pop-up message appears which
requires permission to install the Xerox Device Connector Add-on (Internet Explorer) /
Extension (Chrome).

If installation is allowed, the Xerox Device Connector is installed and enabled. This
enables the communication between Xerox App Gallery Web Portal and the device.

Verify the following:
1. When attempting to add a device, the internet browser displays message that the

plugin connector (add-on / extension) may be installed but disabled. Verify that the
connector is installed and enabled for the internet browser.

2. Ensure the device is operational and is connected to the network.
