Managing ports
You can optimize resource usage by the way you designate port types and 
manage port scheduling. The following sections discuss managing ports.
Designating port types
The connection between MeetingPlace and the telephone network is called a 
port.The ports that connect MeetingPlace to the telephone network are 
classified as access ports. Access ports are the total number of possible 
simultaneous connections to MeetingPlace. All ports are automatically 
designated as access ports.
A subset of your access ports are pre-configured as conference ports. There is 
no physical difference between an access port and a conference port; the 
distinction is purely logical. Access ports that are not configured as 
conference ports are used for scheduling and listening to meetings.
